Networked control: The goal of the research work is the development of new control strategies for such multi-agent systems and networked control systems. It will be investigated, how the newly developed mathematical methods (related to stability analysis, mathematical modeling, and optimization) can be applied to formulate novel control strategies for multi-agent systems. We will analyze de effect of network delay on control performances. It will be examined, how the control methods, developed for robotic swarms, can be extended to more general classes of multi-agent systems. Possible applications are small grids, nonlinear process networks, biological networks.

Autonomous robot groups: The main objective of the research is the development of control algorithms, path planning algorithms and localization methods for robot swarms.

Teleoperation: The main goal of the research group is the development of such control algorithms, trajectory generation algorithms and real-time communication protocols that can be applied for robotic systems that work in hazardous environment and are supervised through video-information by human operator.
